Submitted By Jo-Anne Belair, Analyst, FedHealthIT.com

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services continues to be a primary target. And the ability to find partners who know how to win is key.

This is the second view as part of a larger data initiative the G2X data team is undertaking. This is a list of the trending small business at CMS broken out by socio-economic category (8(a), WOSB, HUBZone, and VOSB) who have prime awards over the last three years. Note: These awards currently only cover the criteria listed at the bottom of the page. No more. No less.

Note: This is a follow up to the first article in this series, which is a view of all trending Small Businesses at CMS. Click here to see that list.

Sources – We heard you! We received a lot of great feedback about which NAICS codes should and should not be used for “Health IT” and consulting.  The data above now includes known prime contract actions only (sub-contracts were not counted for this list) for the Calendar Years 2013 to 2015 and for NAICS codes 541511, 541512, 541513 and 541519, 541611, 541618, 518210 and 519130.  This data originates from FPDS and is correlated with reported business size classifications in the Systems for Award Management (SAM).
