The healthcare data sources include medical and pharmacy claims (from both open and closed systems), hospital chargemaster, electronic medical record (EMR), and commercial laboratory data.  Individually, each of these data sources provides a snapshot of an individual’s health status and health care. Linking across data sources at the patient-level using PPRL provides a comprehensive and longitudinal view of individual’s health status and interactions with the healthcare system.
