“This role is accountable for driving relationships, knowledge and reputation for OptumServe within the Federal Health Agencies (Civil, Military, and Veteran) to include but not limited to the Defense Health Agency, Department of Veterans Affairs, Health & Human Services and Social Security Administration. These relationships will align with the interests of the UnitedHealth Group Enterprise but be driven by the growth agenda of OptumServe. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development, build and completion of Customer account strategies and the execution of the customer strategies 
  • Responsible for the strategic development of new business opportunities to existing and new customers through partnership and collaboration with OptumServe product, technology, operations and customer relationship management functions. 
  • Maintains relationships with key influencers inside and outside of the Civil, Military and/or Veteran Health Agencies 
  • Active membership of and engagement with Federal Health (Civil, Military, and/or Veteran) associations and charitable organizations 
  • Identifies, evaluates and manages new business opportunities, includes lead generation and response management 
  • Partners with market research efforts, due diligence, business analysis and market intelligence analysis to understand competitive landscape of potential market opportunities 
  • Drive collaboration with business and technology to understand the impact of customer priorities on new or emerging business opportunities…” 

“Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years of professional service experience within Federal Health 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the complexities and key factors of the business; displays broad business perspective 
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with business lines and technology to define deliverables and solutions 
  • Analytical skills and ability to review data and make fact based decisions and/or recommendations…”

  • MBA 
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare industry 
  • Understanding of Department of Defense (DOD), Veterans Administration (VA) and Health and Human Services (HHS) markets
