CDC to award contract for Spina Bifida Registry

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta Georgia, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Ground zero Software Inc, to support the Spina Bifida Registry;  To provide the necessary personnel, facilities, equipment, supplies, software, software licenses, Primary Hosting and Disaster Recovery sites,  Entrust IdentityGuard Multi-Factor Authentication Solution for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Business Associate Agreements, Amazon Web Services Cloud platform, and provide any subcontractors and related administrative and information technology support in the performance of all work in accordance with the specific tasks.”

“The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement.  The NAICS code for this procurement is 518210, Data Processing, Hosting, and Related Services.”

“The purpose of this contract is to: 1) support data collection for the National Spina Bifida Patient Registry (NSBPR) and Urologic Management to Preserve Initial Renal Function Protocol for Young Children with Spina Bifida (UMPIRE); 2) continue maintenance of existing NSBPR and UMPIRE data and implement updates, as needed, to data collection tools for NSBPR and UMPIRE; 3) continue the data repository sites (secure Primary Hosting Site configuration, Disaster Recovery Site configuration, and Entrust Identity Guard Multi-Factor Authentication Solution); 4) continue software licenses for Unique ID Generator, Exago Report Writer, and First Databank used in the Spina Bifida Electronic Medical Record (SB EMR); and 5) as required by spina bifida clinics contributing data, implement Business Associate Agreements.”
